Review your plan regularly – things change, and your estate plan should too.

What made sense a few years ago might not anymore, and keeping it up to date helps avoid surprises, confusion, or unintended outcomes down the line.

Plan to review your estate plan every 5 years, when laws change, or after any significant change with your family or your finances.

Review your plan after:

  • Marriage, divorce, or new relationship

  • Birth or adoption of children or grandchildren

  • Death of a beneficiary or executor

  • Significant changes in assets or financial situation

  • Moving to a different province or country

  • Changes in tax laws
